Township High School District 211 Meals Meet Tough New Nutrition Standards

Welcome to the Township High School District 211 Food & Nutrition Services Department! District 211 operates one of the largest school food service programs in Illinois.  More than 9,000 students participate in school lunch and breakfast programs each school day. District 211 participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.  These programs ensure that the meals provided to students are nutritionally balanced in order to support adequate growth, development and a healthy weight. All meals that are provided as a part of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs provide a variety of options every day.  Breakfast may include an egg and cheese sandwich, 100% fruit juice, and low-fat milk.  Lunch includes a variety of hot and cold entrée options, fresh and canned fruit, hot and fresh vegetables, a variety of grains, low-fat milk and 100% fruit juice. Breakfast is available for $1.45 and lunch is $2.35, $2.50, $2.65, or $2.90. depending on the entree choice selected. In addition to complete “combination” meals, a number of a la carte options are available for breakfast and lunch as well.  Options may include a chicken sandwich, yogurt, pizza, bagels, fresh salads, and assorted beverages.
